Life Inclusive Charitable Trust organised a Youth Activation Session at an international school in Gurugram on 30th April 2026 in collaboration with Special Olympics Bharat.

The event successfully engaged 70 participants, including Athlete Leaders (students with intellectual disabilities), Youth Leaders (students without intellectual disabilities), and teachers, in an interactive session dedicated to the spirit of inclusion.

The programme focused on providing participants with a deeper understanding of Special Olympics Bharat and how sports can positively transform the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. Students were sensitised about the importance of inclusion, the role of Unified Sports, and various Special Olympics Bharat programmes and events. They were also trained to become Youth Leaders and Athlete Leaders, empowering them to take ownership of inclusive initiatives within the school community.

The session highlighted the significance of the Unified Sports Programme and provided a clear roadmap on how to effectively run and sustain inclusive activities. This helped re-establish the strong partnership between Special Olympics Bharat and Life Inclusive Charitable Trust.

The day became even more vibrant with inclusive Art and Zumba sessions, where both existing members and the new batch of “changemakers” celebrated inclusion through creativity, expression, and movement.

Following the training, students with and without intellectual disabilities came together to form a Unified Club within the school. They shared ideas to organise year-round inclusive activities such as Unified Sports Programmes, Exhibitions, Unified Art Events, Unified Dance Performances, Quiz Competitions for awareness about intellectual disability and inclusion, and even a Unified Fashion Show.

This student-led Unified Club, under the banner of Life Inclusive Charitable Trust, will continue to strengthen inclusive engagement and promote meaningful participation throughout the year.
